Turn Black Friday into ‘Black Flyday’ with Avios

12 November 2025 - As Black Friday approaches, global rewards currency, Avios, is giving shoppers the opportunity to swap the shopping checkout for airport check-in, thanks to a new bonus campaign when shopping with partners via the Avios Shop. 

Newly launched, members of The British Airways Club shopping through the Avios Shop, can collect 50% more Avios on their online purchases at over 1,000 brands until 28 December*. This allows customers to turn their seasonal spending into savings on future flights, hotels and travel experiences. 

With just one click through the Avios app or website, under ‘shopping online’, customers using the Avios Shop are redirected to their favourite brand’s own website. From there, shoppers can continue to order as normal, with the added bonus of collecting Avios on everyday purchases they were already planning to make. 

Thanks to partnerships with high-street brandsincluding M&S, Nike, H&M, Gymshark, and more, customers can relax knowing that the gifts they buy this season will power their next getaway.  

Available for a limited-time, the offer means shoppers will collect 50% more Avios than the usual Avios Shop rate, with highlights including up to 21 Avios per £1 spent at Harrods, 20 Avios per £1 at Ray-Ban, 18 Avios per £1 at Ralph Lauren, and 15 Avios per £1 at FatFace, when including the bonus*. 

With British Airways reward flights starting from as little as 9,250 Avios plus 50p one-way, the new offer means eagle-eyed elves could earn enough Avios on their festive family shopping to visit Amsterdam, Paris, Geneva and many more destinations**. 

Reduce the price of your shopping with Avios 

The recently launched 'Shop our Edit’ range from Avios Shop, also offers customers the opportunity to save when shopping online this Black Friday, with members of The British Airways Club able to use their Avios to reduce the price of the hottest goods across travel and technology. 

Celebrating its first Black Friday, the ‘Shop our Edit’ range of Avios Shop offers shoppers the chance to browse hundreds of products across 17 iconic brands, including Apple, Antler and Smythson.  

However, unlike shopping directly with partner brands via Avios Shop, members can also reduce the cost of 'The Edit’ products by up to 25% of the overall price, by using their Avios to lower the cash amount payable. Between 21 November and 1 December, customers will also earn a bonus 15 Avios per £1 on the remaining 75% of the price tag when buying through the shop. 

Alongside a lineup of Apple technology, including the new iPhone 17, Avios Shop also stocks traditional travel essentials such as suitcases, sunglasses, and inflight supplies like neck-pillows, eye masks, and Chilly’s water bottles. 

Toast to super savings 

Alongside deals across retail, those looking to stock up for a festive tipple are also in luck, with the Avios powered online wine delivery service, The Wine Flyer, offering bonus campaigns for Black Friday. 

Offering members of The British Airways Club the opportunity to both collect and spend Avios when ordering their favourite vintages, The Wine Flyer is boosting the amount of Avios customers collect by four times the usual rate between 21 November and 1 December, sweetening the deal this festive season.
