London – Nov 7, 2025 – IAG Loyalty, the loyalty business of International Airlines Group (IAG), and American Express have signed a multi-year extension to their long-standing partnership. The renewed partnership includes the British Airways American Express® Cards, which continue to deliver differentiated value and travel benefits for UK Cardmembers after two decades of successful collaboration between American Express and British Airways
Next year, British Airways and American Express will celebrate 25 years of partnership since introducing the first British Airways co-brand Cards issued by American Express in the UK. This renewal demonstrates the continued commitment of IAG Loyalty and American Express to providing sought after rewards and benefits for its customers now and well into the future.
With this extension, British Airways American Express Cardmembers can continue to enjoy the multiple benefits on their co-brand Cards, which include earning Avios (rewards points) on everyday and business purchases, and depending on the card chosen, Plan It instalment payment plans, travel, accident and inconvenience insurance and Companion Vouchers.
The renewed partnership also includes continued acceptance for Amex Cards across all IAG Airlines, which include; British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and Vueling, with the recent addition of acceptance at LEVEL. Furthermore, the agreement includes ongoing American Express Membership Rewards points transfer to Avios with British Airways and Iberia loyalty programmes (and Aer Lingus for US Cardmembers).
